RFT 11803 Central TAFE - KT Studio Contract
The Client:Central TAFE is a leader in vocational education and training in Australia, with its roots for delivering innovative and creative solutions going back one hundred years to the days of Perth Technical College, Western Australia's original TAFE institution. It is the largest TAFE college in Western Australia with approximately 2,000 full time and part-time academic and public service staff and 25,000 students enrolled in para-professional and technology training at eight campuses located in the Perth Metropolitan area. Central TAFE courses have gained widespread recognition for high quality industry- focused training. Central TAFE collaborates with universities, Government and institutions in a number of innovative projects and is positioning itself as a contemporary icon in the VET market place and the knowledge economy.
The KT Studio, formerly part of the Office of E-Government in the Department of the Premier and Cabinet has been transferred to Central TAFE by agreement of the Premier and the Minister for Education and Training.
The work of the KT Studio in broad terms is applied research requiring specialist skills and is project based contributing to a technology framework that has application across government. The majority of current work being undertaken is for Central TAFE and the Department of Education and Training.
The Contract:
For the provision of Consultants and various project personnel with skills appropriate to the nature of the projects undertaken by KT Studio. The contract is for an initial period of 3 years commencing from 1st July 2004, plus there are 2 one-year contract extension options available at the absolute discretion of the Principal.
